چکیده
A study was conducted in four different agro-climatic zones of Maharashtra state India. The typology developed with an aim to identify livestock production system, employment generation, and milk productivity oflivestock system. Multivariate statistical technique, i.e. Cluster analysis (CA) used classify groupsof farm households similar characteristics into homogenous clusters, viz. possessingsmall landholding, a larger high yielding dairy stock small goat flock size (37.5%); landholding asmall animal (39%); large yieldingdairy (13.5%); size(10%). It observed that 47.5% the respondents had 31.3% totalman-days generated for family labour were (165.87) cluster 2 while, hired labour, man-daysgenerated 4 households. Milk yield index significantly 3 1households. Spearman correlation revealed independent variables, total SAU, size, income from dairyand system positively correlated productivity, generation (man-days) andgross annual income. Multiple regression integration farming along technology adoption influenced landholders.

Potential role of sirtuins in livestock production.
Sirtuins are NAD(+)-dependent histone and protein deacetylases, which have been studied during the last decade with a focus on their role in lifespan extension and age-related diseases under normal and calorie-restricted or pathological conditions. However, sirtuins also have the ability to regulate energy homeostasis as they can sense the metabolic state of the cell through the NAD(+)/NADH rat...
